Flika flinched a little as the touch was felt on her haunches, but with the sound of her owner's voice, she recognized it as being the touch of a friend. She shook her dial irritably, again, her ears still back to listen to Maraiah.

Maraiah rubbed Flika's hindqaurters a little, then sighed. Here goes! She murmured, and swung herself over and into the saddle.

Flika's head jerked up again as Maraiah swung herself into the saddle. She then bucked a little, but her haunches failed to rise very high at all because of the unfamiliar weight. She didn't tried it again, though, but stood, her pillars trembling the slightest bit as her dial was still held high, white around her eyes as she shook her dial yet again, and her forepillars lifted from the ground a few inches.

Maraiah kept her balance in the saddle, smiling slightly at the feeling to be in the saddle at last! She waited. tense until Flika seemed to calm slightly, then nudged her sides with her boots gently, flicking the reins, trying to guide the filly forwards.Good girl, easy. She murmured softly.

Flika snorted in confusion as the reins were flicked, but jumped forward as she felt the pressure against her sides as a reaction to get away from it. She then stopped, her head still held extremely high, something that would stay with her forever.

Maraiah noticed the filly's well-strung head, and smiled. You'll make a great Dressage or Show horse, Flika. She muttered, nudging her ankles against the filly's sides harder and faster, urging her forwards and down the soft, rolling hills and valleys in front of them.

Flika jumped forward again as she felt her owner's, and now rider's heels against her sides. She didn't stop because the pressure didn't, her pace a little antsy (sp... if that's a word, even). She chomped on the bit again, starting to ignore Maraiah's commands, but still kept walking.. if you'd call it that.

ooc:// Lol, yeah it is...checked in the dictionary just now. ^^ ic:// Maraiah smiled slightly as the twosome walked, or trotted slowly down the hill. She pressed harder into the filly's sides, clicking her tongue, trying to urge the filly faster, into a trot at least.Trot, baby! Come on...She said eagerly, her blue eyes twinkling joyfully.

- Don't you wish horses would train this easy.. lol -
Flika's ears pinned back a little farther, but only for a second as she felt Maraiah's heels against her sides strengthen their pressure. She lunged forward in a not-so-graceful manner, and into a canter (more of a collected canter).

ooc:// Yeah lol...I just can't be bothered to do the MONTH of work I spent with my R.L. Arabian gelding, Tonic.. ic:// Mariah smiled, relaxing her legs just slightly, but flicking the reins to show that they were in no means to stop. As they soared down the sloping hill, Maraiah felt her thoughts drift away...her as a child, with her sweet old pony underneath her...reality seemed so blurred and unreal..

- It seems i'm always in constant training.. Wether my horse, or someone elses, lol -
As the feeling of the saddle on her back and the bridle that was on her dial began to feel more.. 'normal'.. Her strides began to lengthen, slowly becoming a gallop as she realized Maraiah had gone of to another world. Starting to feel free, she picked up the pace even more, gaining ground quickly across the meadows.

ooc:/ Yeah.. ;D Thats the only downside of owning a pretty pony. ic:/ With a jolt, Maraiah stepped back into reality. She did not tighten or loosen her hold on the reins and Flika's sides...for, she realised now, they were galloping. A smile flickered across the girl's lips, and turned into a laugh, a happy, joyous laugh as the horse and rider streaked across the beautiful, deserted valleys. Maraiah leaned forwards in the saddle slightly...it was as if her and the filly were one - bonded in a way too beautiful and outlandish for mortals to understand.

Flika's pillars continued to race her across the fields, but suddenly an awkward movement was caught in the corner of her high. She squealed, jumping to the side and skidding to a stop quickly, her head held at its highest, her nares flared as she stared at the trees that were close now, her auds pricked.

Maraiah squeaked slightly, struggling to keep her place in the saddle as the filly skidded to a halt. She dismounted quickly, rubbing the horse's maw soothingly. What's wrong?...She asked worriedly, looking at the forest also.

Flika ignored the touch of Maraiah's hand on her maw, still stareing at the forest for another minute. She then snorted, and shook her dial, satisfied that nothing was going to jump out and eat her. She looked back at her owner, her auds pricked, as if asking why she was on the ground, and not on her back.

ooc:// Lol...somethings gonna eat her in a civilized park, right?... ;D ic:// Maraiah, realising it was a false alarm, tutted, pretending to swipe at Flika's head with one hand. She then clambered gracefully back onto the horse's back, and urged her forwards into a trot followed by a light canter.

Flika tossed her head as she felt Maraiah swing onto her back yet again. She slowly moved into a walk, then again slowly into a light jog, but didn't go any faster than that.

Maraiah permitted Flika to go on the slightly slower pace, and after a while began slowly turning the mare around t'wards the belongings still left on that lonely hill.

Flika resisted the bit as much as she good as she felt it pulling at the side of her mouth. She chomped on it, luckily not figuring out that if she could get a chomp on the bit just right, she wouldn't have to pay any mind to the bit at all. She finally gave in with a harsh toss of her dial, and turned toward the hill.

Maraiah slowed the filly down as they climbed up the hill. The journey seemed much longer than when they had climbed down it! Finally they reached the top, and the familiar dense forests of the Bridal Pass. Maraiah slid out of the saddle, leading Flika by her bridle as she gathered up the belongings and put them all into her backpack. So they didn't have picnic. Who cares?
