The young fae, only four years old, had entered the claiming grounds in hopes of being claimed by a kind, loving stallion. Now she was beginning to worry. She was new to the slightest idea of having a mate, as she was still so like a foal, loving to run and race and play. But it was easy to see that she had a certain level of matureness in her, and beautiful she was indeed.
Her sleek roan pelt had a slight mix of both reddish-brown and bluish-gray, though not in a way that was unnatural. Her copper mane fell in a glossy sheet over her neck, and her forelock lay neatly between her eyes. Her banner fell to the ground behind her, swishing impatiently now and again.
Why was she having second thoughts? Well, she was afraid, of course. Not so afraid of the idea of a mate as the idea of what having a mate may mean. Freedom, as suggested by her name, loved the feeling of running free throught the meadows and valleys. She made her own choices. She controlled herself. What if a stallion came along and took all the freedom she had away. Surely she would try to escape a stallion so power-hungry, but as strong-willed as she is, she would never be able to overpower a stallion based on body strength.
Nervously, Freedom began pacing. Back and forth she went, changing smoothly from a walk to a trot to a canter and back down again. Her eyes were wide and took in everything, just in case she felt the need to run, and her ears were flicking about in every direction. She refused to leave. She had to finish what she'd started. She couldn't run about alone forever. She only hoped she had made the right decision in coming.

.\:/.Lonely, and doing nothing about it..\:/.
Sesitive nares picked up the scent of a restless mare as the ebon stud grazed nearby. His nape dragged his bulky dial from the greenery, and black optics widened. His auds pricked, towers leaning towards the sound of hoovebeats in the grassy plain. His whole body moved towards the sound, then his hind stalks pressed him onwards, picking up a small trot.
Curiosity killed the cat...
His concious was already reacting, but Roman Liquor ignored the taunts of his second nature. He would just watch first, be an onlooker, and see if he should change his mind. His flints imprinted crests into the soft earth as his pillars pushed him onwards, then to a group a tree's before ebon pools peaked from behind the foliage.
A Light.
Liquor thought about it for a moment, inhaling deeply. He liked her innocence, it was cute, and made her seem less mature, and more fun-loving. Liquor himself twasn't Light, nor Darq. He was in the middle, unsure of his own feelings. It really just depended on how he lived life, but isnt that how all youngin's were? He moved his pitch orbs to watch her for a moment more, thinking summore.
Could she have an attitude? Oh ofcourse, she's a mare, shes gotta have one. But will she mesh with his evil being on the inside? Its really not HIS fault his father is one of the darqest brutes known, and his mother was poor, and defencless against the forebreeding hession...
Try.
Haunches pushed him through the brush, low nickers emitting from his mug. He two-beated to the center of the area, watching the fae with kind orbs. Baratone vocals erupted from his chest, though spoken softly.
'Lo M'Lady.
Lucky I know my manners...
.\:/.Lonely and doin' something about it!.\:/.

Freedom froze as a rustling sound came from behind her, and spun around to face it, head up, auds pricked, dark orbs wide. She had turned to face a stallion, one much larger that her in size. As he greeted her properly, she relaxed a bit, though she stood tensely, pillars locked, ready to propel her away if need be.
She returned his greeting, arching her nape and dipping her crown, keeping her eyes on the stag all the time. "M'Lord", she said politely, unsure of whether to trust him or not.
Then again, she knew nothing about him at all. Why would she trust someone she didn't know. She locked her gaze on him, trying to determine his alliance. She was normally a good judge of character, but this stallion let no hints escape. She simply couldn't tell.
She yet again resisted the urge to spin and run, and kept her sharp daggers firmly planted on the ground. This stallion could help her. Of course, he could also command her if he felt the urge to do so, but she pushed that thought from her mind. She truly needed a mate, and she would never gain one if she decided to run away.

A small smile formed on the hessions kissers. His orbs softened, and he took a small step closer to the fae.
No need to call me lord, I am not of a King's material.
He was truthful, no herd was made of a stallion that he, himself didnt know his own Allience. Perhaps he was a nomad, without any particular claim. He shook his dial, shaking the thoughts from his always running mind. His orbs glanced over her again, looking over her fine features. She was simply gorgeous.
M'Lady, if you dont mind my asking, why would such a femme, that absolutely cannot be alone, be in the claimence grounds? You must have a mate, you simply must! I mean, just look at you... you're... beautiful.
His baratone features rose and fell with the climaxs of his mini speech. He seemed to be babbling by the end of his speaking, and he wanted to crawl under a rock with embarressment. You'd think that if he approched a fae, he would be calm about it.
Smooth move, tuffy.
Oh great, his concious was calling him by his friend's nickname for him... and.. the fact he actually had a concious that seemed to speak to him..
He inhaled deeply, sending a calming relaxation through his bodance. He looked at her again, just praying that she couldn't see his nervousness.

She relaxed a bit more as the stallion batted aside her formality in a kind manner. He seemed to be a of a decent sort, and she figured it wrong to think otherwise of him after his kindness, though her nervousness remained as he swept his eyes over her.
At the rushed words that tumbled from the stallion's mouth, all nervousness left her. She couldn't help the amused grin that formed on her velveteens. She could tell that the stag was slightly nervous, too. But of course she thought none the less of him. She was glad to know he wasn't the demanding sort.
It was the last words of his that caused her smile to change from amusement to that of appreciation. "I am, in fact, alone," she said, finally relaxing completely and letting her strong guard down a bit. She let her long, slender pillars loosen, no longer braced to run, and shook her head a bit to loosen her mane.
"I've been alone for a long time. My herd broke up in a snowstorm when I was young. It took a while to get used to, but after a while I grew to like it, I truly did. I loved my freedom. But then again, if I am to survive and live the life of a mare, I need a mate, which I don't have yet. And thank you..." she trailed off after thanking the stallion for his compliment.
"And please, if I am not to call you Lord, you are not to call me Lady, for I am but a lone mare. My name is Freedom."

As she loosened up, her full beauty began to shine in his orbs. Absolute awe was washed over him, the shock of her absolutly beautiful self soothingly taking ahold of his soul.
How could a fae of such.. beauty, such... elegance be alone in this world. How could a femora of such amazement be forgotten by a family, to the point where she grows into a fae of such simple bliss? And with the blessing of Freedom? My, my sweet Freedom, you send warmth through my veins.
The poetic fluid comming from the kissers of the hession was a wonder to he, himself. He was amazed that he could explain his own feelings in such a mannor. At the instant he knew what he was. He was Light. Her radience sent rays of warmth and happiness into his system, and he soaked it up like sunlight. He felt light weight, and seemed to be floating. But, perhaps, thats what such bliss does to you...

Freedom smiled grandly at his statement, shaking the thought of her family, who had all died in the storm, from her head. She tucked her head down into her chest, trying to hide the estatic look in her eyes. Of all the stallions in the world, a better one couldn't have come across her.
The fae herself was never poetic. No, far from it. She was more of a blunt, straightforeward mare, but this stallion certainly knew how to gain the favor of a young mare. She looked up at him and took a step toward him, stretching her neck the slightest bit to nuzzle the stags neck in thanks for the compliment.
She noticed that, in a moment, the stag seemed to change. It was a subtle change, and not one in appearance or movement, but in spirit and mind. No longer was the stag's alliance undiscernible. For some odd reason, he now came off as a light to her.
"We have but one problem," she said, smiling. "I've told you my name, but you've yet to reveal yours. What am I to call you if I don't know you're name?" she asked, smile never leaving her maw.

His soft maw moved to her own nape, lighly running down the muscle in the top of her crest, sliding down over her shoulder. He then slid it up to her withers, holding his maw there as nares inhaled the fae's intoxicating scent.
I am blessed with the name mixed from my evil father Roman Numerals, and my friendly mother Whisky. As a rusult, I am marked Roman Liquor. Some call me Liquor, some call me Beer.
A small smile played his veleteens, laughing at the thought of the name his silly friends have givin him as a yearling. He then moved his attention back to Freedom, soft nuzzles upon her withers showing affection.

Freedom shivered slightly at the gentle touches given from the stallion. She took in a contented breath and arched her nape a bit. Never before had a stallion touched her with such affection like this. Never before had she let one. Now, she realized what a sensation she had been missing. Though, something told her it wouldn't be the same with any other stallion.
"Liquor is just fine with me," she said, laughing a bit at the second name.
She returned his affectionate gesture, running her maw lightly over his back, nuzzling here and there.

His soft, warm breaths lightly puffed from his nares, around her shouder as he lipped her lightly. He figured that this was love, that they shared, but being the one who had to hear everyone say it... he asked.
Be my mate, Freedom?
His soft baratone vocals cooed to her softly. His orbs were closed, and his mind relaxed as he slowly drug his mug down over her shoulder and down around her girth heart, touching her lightly just behind her for elbow, then running out across her belly, and up along a rib.

Freedom shivered again with delight at the gentle touches, and moved her maw lightly up his neck, nibbling lighly now and again. She closed her eyes at the sheer pleasure of the sensation she was feeling, the sensation which she would soon find was love. Loving and being loved back.
"I'm yours..." she said, trailing off a bit at the end, a smile on her face.
She stepped closer still to the stallion, closing all space between them, lipping lightly with her kissers at the hession's smooth, warm fur.

Emotion flowed through the stallion's veins, the warm sensation exploding through his mind. He had seemed to have just met this fae, and yet, he was sure he had found love. He slid his dish over her back, lightly resting his bulky dial upon her spine. He inhaled deeply, letting oxygen flow through his blood. The cold side of his heart seemed to subside, and possibly dissapear. This love was more than love.. it was... lust, and love... it was... Passion.

An intense feeling rushed through Freedom. It filled her mind, ensnared her senses, and seemed to warm her whole body. She knew that this stallion wouldn't take her freedom away, and she loved him all the more for it. The idea of what was happening to her was so strange. It was an area forever unexplored up until now.
The idea of what this may bring excited her, but she was so unsure of what it would truly bring. Love seemed apparent from just this one moment. But what else would come their way? Where would they live. She herself had no home of her own. She was a wanderer, and thought that she always would be. Now her plans were beginning to change.
What about a foal? She herself was so young, but it was hard to doubt that Liquor would want a foal. Of course, she wanted one, too, but what kind of mother would she make? Would she be like her own mother? Everything her mother had to teach her died with her in the cold, icy snow. Were instincts alone enough to raise a foal. Of course, she would have Liquor's help. With him, she could do just about anything.

Liquor's mind was racing as much as her own. What kind of stallion will I look like if I have a mate, yet no home? Then a thought burst into his mind, exploding. Vinco... Roman knew Vinco. They weren't great friends, but surly Vinco would allow the young equines to rest in his peaceful lands.
That was solved. He moved his attention back to her again. He embraced her, his nape strechand and slightly wrapping around the base of her nape. He breathed deeply, relaxation seeping through his bodance.

Freedom leaned into the carress, unaware of his worries and his resolution. Her own thoughts were flowing through her mind. Smiling, she finally stepped back from the stag, and looked up at him.
"Where is it that we go from here? I am by no means used to this. I myself have no home of my own..." she trailed off, letting the sentence hang in the air. Surely they would have a home. Liquor would find them one if he himself didn't have one.

Ebon dial nodded, understanding her worry for the situation. He thought for a moment, trying to figure how to word his solution.
I dont have a home of my own either, but I have a feeling that a friendly Light king will allow us to live upon his lands of Moon Eye Court.
He inhaled deeply, hoping she was up for the idea of living under Vinco's rule. He was a good brute, very calm and laid back in Liquors view.

"Vinco rules there," she instantly said in response to his statement. She could understand the stallion not having a home. Freedom truly was a glorious thing. Then again, they needed a permanent home from now on, and Moon Eye Court sounded like just the place.
"When I was a yearling, just before the snowstorm, my herd passed through his lands - With his permission of course. I didn't speak to him, but I saw him standing up on a hill, watching us enter and leave. If what you say is true, and he is friendly and light, then Moon Eye Court shall be our new home... so long as Vinco gives his consent.

Liquor nodded his dial, nuzzling her lightly. Then, shall we journy to ask? he asked softly. He lightly held her close, still breathing slightly heavily.

Freedom sighed and leaned into him. "I suppose we should. The sooner we leave, the sooner we get there, right?"
OOC: Are you going to make a post at MEC or am I?
