Kayla walked in, stopped. and looked around the bar, the normal, people laughing, guys trying to hit on girls, and stiffening backs as someone insulted them. Yep, the norm. She continued walking in, dark black hair swinging slightly, and sat down at a barstool, back turned away from everyone. She ordered three beers and drank. She was completely oblivious to the upside-down world around her. Reviewing a image of a guy leaning over a woman, and she slapping him. Now THAT, was funny. That is the kind of girl Kayla was, kinda stayed to herself, unless someone wanted to get involved, which sometimes was a big mistake. She was young, new-which made her feel slightly vulnerable-, single, and for hotness levels, you decide. She doesn't care what everyone thinks about her, and follows her own rule, most of the time. This is her, black dress and everything.

A young man stood in the corner of the bar which he had come to know and love. While his friends laughed over some apparently funny happening, Jason slipped away from them. He ran a hand through his short, blonde hair, making it slightly messier, and headed toward a little beauty that had just slipped into the bar. He didn't believe he'd seen her before, which was quite odd, because he knew everyone in this bar.
As he came closer, he saw that she was quite young, Not that he was an old man, but she certainly had a yound, careless demeanor about her. Whether that was how she was or if that was simply the three beers, he couldn't be sure. In any case, he slid onto the barstool next to her, spinning it to face the counter and asking the tender for a beer. He caught it as it was slid down to him and spun his stool again to face the girl. His eyes scrutinized her, taking in her facial features, as well as letting his eyes wander downward, just for a moment, before bringing them back up.
"I'm Jason," he finally said after a moment of silence, leaning onto the bar as he did so, trying to appear cool and smooth. His blue eyes, he knew, seemed to make him look innocent, and he used them to his advantage every chance possible. "I don't think I've seen you here before. You new to Two Rivers?"

Out of the corner of her eye she saw movement. A blonde guy, walking towards her, this was interesting. Usually guys just passed her up. Well, whatever, this man could do what he wanted. She watched him yet out of the corner of her vision until he moved closer to her so that she could keep an eye on him, and make it appear that she was looking somewhere else. She continued monitoring him as he tousled his slightly messy hair.
She ordered another beer, and felt slightly numb as she took a swallow, but only slightly. He was now sitting down, and ordering a beer. If he had had previous drinks, he hadn’t shown it, he still had good hand-eye coordination. Then he spun around to face her, doing a small inspection. The corner of her mouth tugged upward. She spun the stool to face him now, listening to him as he talked.
“Hello, Jason,” she said, and held out her hand, at a slight angle for him to shake.” Yeah, I’m new here, and you probably haven’t seen me before.” She said, her eyes more open than half way, but her eyelids still partly hid her eyes. She gave a small smile, yet it was filled with emotion.
