Lake wandered into the bar, a curious eye glancing around. It being midday and all, there wasn't much commotion going on. Not if you knew what it was like at night-time. His worn sneakers thudded softly againest the floor, only the toe showed because of his flared jeans. They were only a little tight, but showed off his cute butt. His pale blue button down shirt was buttoned completely.. Except for the top few, which showed only a little of his chest. He had a light jean jacket on, but it wasn't really needed with the warm spring day outside. He continued to a stool by the bar, sitting atop it. He glanced at the bartender who was stareing at the tv that was showing a replay of the local Senior High football team's game the night before. He looked extremely bored, but everyone there did. There were a few girls at the other side of the room, he guessed they worked there during the nights. He finally waved the bartender over, ordering a beer before turning on his stool, and taking a good look around at the place. It was nice to be back in his hometown, even if it was for a short time. He didn't recognize anyone around here, and guessed those people fled the town before someone changed their minds. A smile creeped across his face as he thought of an old song that this town had once adopted as their 'theme song'. One line of that particuler song could describe everything about this town... "Bobby told Lucy, 'The world ain't round... Drops off sharp at the edge of town. Lucy, you know the world must be flat.. 'Cause when people leave town, they never come back.'" |

Zelda walked in, and looked around. She was highly bored. She ignore the shouts of things like, Hey baby, you could be a star in the back of my car! and guys "accidentally" backing up and hitting her butt with their hands that they had behing their backs. She growled and walked up and saw a guy sitting alone. she looked at him and said, Care if I sit here?

Lake was just picking up his beer, still turned around, as the girl appeared. He nodded, "Sure." he said before taking a drink. He sat the bottle on the bar again, glancing around before looking back at the girl once more.

Zelda hopped up on the stool. She ordered a strawberry margarita. As she waited for it, she turned back to the guy she was sitting next to, and held out her hand. Zelda. You?

He looked at the girl again, glancing at her hand then her stunningly beautiful face again. He reached out and shook it. "I'm Lake. Lake Davidson."

Zelda smiled and shook his hand with a firm handshake. She reached out with her other hand to stop her margarita that was sliding down the counter t'wards her. It stopped, but a bit sloshed onto the counter.

He glanced at the margarita as a bit splashed onto the counter. He leaned back, turning around a little and grabbed a napkin. He turned back around and mopped it up.

Zelda has just grabbed a napkin. When she saw he had mopped it up for her, she grinned and blushed the tiniest bit. Thanks, that's what I was just about to do! she half laughed.

The sultry young woman watched the couple from her perch in the corner. She had overheard his exclamation about horses, and it had caught her attention. She laughed to herself. I definitely have interests outside of horses, she thought to herself, smiling devilishly.
She stirred her new drink slowly, waiting for the man to glance in her direction. She felt like stealing someone's breath.

He sighed, shaking his head. He glanced around the bar, then toward the dancefloor as a quick-moving song clicked on. He glanced back at Zelda, smiling at her. "Wanna dance?"

All too soon a slow dance clicked on. He stopped his dancing, glancing around for a small moment, then back at her. He hesitantly took a few steps closer to her, wondering if she'd run before he had the chance. Slowly, his hands found her hips and snaked around them.
