Amber shook her head excitedly. Speghetti was her favorite food ever!

Tesla sighed gently as she walked into the house. It felt good to be home. She glanced around, then at Danny. She smiled, watching Amber. "Go on, hun, we'll call you when dinner's ready," she said quietly, glancing up at Danny again.

danny smiled then laughed at his own joke. "Go on, hun, I'll call you when dinner's ready," he said smiling almost pushing her, very gently, up the stairs.

She rolled her eyes, resisting his push as he attempted to get her to leave. She turned back towards him, a fake angry glare on her face. "Oh come on.. I can't stay with you?" she asked, a small smile spreading on her lips.

no .. its a surprise... but when its done.... if you see anything crawling in the speghetti.. let me know immediatley... he said jokingly. Don't worry, My mom MADE me learn to cook and she is italian so i specialize in speghetti ok? now go.

Tesla made a disgusted face at his little joke, closing her eyes for a moment, but then opened them again. "Okay, fine. You win."[/] she said, taking a few backwards steps toward the stairs. "Just don't set off a smoke alarm, alright?" she joked, laughing a little with a big smile on her face. She then turned and jogged up the stairs, disappearing to Amber's room.
As she walked inside, she glanced around for Amber, sighing gently.

Mommy, look at what daddy gave me... she there stood a picture of him and Tesla happy and smiling. Then there was a plastic pony with a n heart cracked in too.... There were tears in amber's eyes as she through her gift softly at the wall. He told me I made you both unhappy and that it's all my fault he doesn't live with us.. She sounded like a 12 year old with all these problems her father put them through..... meanwhile danny was cooking the speghetti and the delicious smell crept into amber's room.

Tesla's eyes flashed with fury as she got a glance at the gift, and listened to Amber's words. She walked toward her, picking her up gently and sitting down on the bed, holding Amber in her lap. "Oh, hunny.. That's not true. Nothing is your fault, I promise. Okay, hun? I love you so much.. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. Don't let him tell you otherwise." she said softly, wiping Amber's tears away.

ok. I wish danny was my daddy. Just as she said that the smell of the sauce went deeper into the room. Dinner's ready. he said as he jogged up the stairs to get them.

"You're not the only one..." she thought to herself, and gave Amber a gentle hug. As she heard Danny, she glanced up toward the door. "C'mon, toot (lol, funny name i know)," she said, lifting Amber and setting her down on the floor. She stood, glancing up at the doorway and forcing a smile as she saw Danny.

whats wrong he mouthed this so amber wouldn't here. Dinner's on the table he said glancing at amber as he stayed with tesla in the stairway case. (toot....hmmm)

She shook her head as she saw him mouth those words. As they got to the stairs, Tesla spanked Amber on the rear gently as a sign of affection, and telling her to go on downstairs to the table. (i'm gonna move this along a little) As she did, Tesla turned toward Danny. She sighed, looking down, not sure if she should talk to him about it.

She sighed again as he pulled her into his arms. She slowly put her arms around his neck, then looked up at him, forcing a half smile. "Jake has convinced Amber that everything that's going wrong right now is her fault. He's told her that she's the reason we're both so unhappy, and she's the reason why he doesn't live with us." she said, sorrow in her eyes as she looked at him. Now she wanted to just kill Jake... How could he even do that to his daughter.

She took a deep breath as she entered, smelling the sweet aroma of the food. "Smells good," she said, smiling slightly as she looked back toward him.

"Wait.." she said, turning back toward him. "You were wearin' an apron? Oh, so that's why you wanted me to leave... I wish I could have seen that.." she joked, her smile broadening a little bit.
